The Minister of Interior, Ambrose Dery, has said that Monday, June 26, 2017, is a statutory public holiday.

He said the day should be observed as such.
The day marks the Eid ul-Fitr, celebrated by Muslims worldwide to make the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting.
